• The Second Annual Duck Jazz Festival line-up has been announced with Gerald Veasley, jazz bassist from Philadelphia, headling the day's festivities. The Duck Jazz Festival will be held on Sunday, October 12. For additional information, click here. • The Town of Duck focuses on Renewable Energy. The Town is participating in a wind energy forum to be held at the Kitty Hawk Town Hall on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 6 pm. The Town of Duck Town Council and Planning Board would like to encourage attendance at this forum as well as future public participation as we contemplate ordinances and policies related to renewable energy. • Please be advised that the Plover Drive lifeguard station is closed for the season. The other lifeguard stations are open and lifeguards will patrol the beaches on ATV's through October 31. For additional information, click here.
